Hi, I'm Alysia Smith
Alysia Shaw, a San Diego native and graduate of San Diego State University, is the Principal of Holly Drive Leadership Academy. She has dedicated over 20 years to education, starting as a Reading Specialist and working her way up to Principal. Alysia's extensive background includes roles at the Girls Club of San Diego, UPS, and the San Diego County Probation Department, where she developed strong leadership and program management skills. She has earned numerous accolades, including the "Hats Off to Teachers" Award, Teacher of the Year nominations, and a Master's Degree and Teaching Credential from National University.
Alysia is deeply committed to her community, having served on various boards and as a mentor for young women. She is passionate about fostering growth in her students and believes her greatest accomplishment is raising her three daughters, Chanel, Shyanne, and Sierra.
