Growing up in Las Cruces, NM, I was raised in the family business of home construction. My favorite part was helping choose the cabinets, flooring, and fixtures to personalize the homes built by my dad, a general contractor. After graduating from New Mexico State University, I went on to work as an engineer in Juarez, Mexico. Being raised in a bilingual household and working in a Maquiladora further sharpened my Spanish fluency.

In 2006, I moved to the Central Coast with my husband and two daughters. I instantly fell in love with the warm, small-town feel of Paso Robles and the entire Central Coast's unique beauty.
