Art, for me, is a journey—one of movement, texture, and discovery. Growing up in New York City, I was immersed in its ever-evolving energy, where motion and contrast shaped my creative instincts. Now in Clearwater, Florida, I find inspiration in the interplay between the city's vibrant pulse and the calm, sunlit expanses of the coast.
My work is always shifting, delving into abstract oils, cold wax medium, and mixed media to create layered textures, bold shapes, and expressive florals. I experiment constantly, letting each piece take its own path, sometimes through rich, tactile surfaces, other times with surprising materials. Whether large-scale statement pieces or smaller canvases meant for quiet spaces, my art is about capturing emotion, rhythm, and the imperfect beauty of the process itself.

The Commission Process
Consultation & Vision – The process begins with a conversation. Whether in person at Debra’s studio or virtually, you’ll discuss your ideas, preferred colors, size, and the mood you’d like the artwork to convey. If visiting the studio, you’ll have the chance to explore her existing works and draw inspiration from past collections.
Concept & Design – After gathering details, Debra will create an initial concept, ensuring the piece aligns with your space’s aesthetics and personal preferences. She takes into account lighting, room function, and overall ambiance to craft a work that complements its intended environment. Sketches, color samples, and material options may be shared for approval before moving forward.
Creation & Updates – Once the vision is set, Debra will begin bringing the piece to life. Throughout the process, she provides updates, allowing for refinements and adjustments as needed. Regular check-ins ensure that the final piece aligns with your expectations.
Final Approval & Delivery – Upon completion, you’ll have the opportunity to review the finished work. Once approved, the piece will be prepared for pickup, local delivery, or shipping, ensuring it arrives safely at its new home. Custom framing options are also available upon request.
