The Foster family have been building high quality pools in the Tampa area for over 50 years. At age 15 Robert was testing water, soon followed by apprenticeships in every phase of construction.  From laying out and digging pools, through setting the rebar, ensuring the concrete was cut correctly, plumbing, decks, equipment, automation and more - he learned it all by doing everything personally.

As a second generation pool builder Robert wanted to bring more to the table, and set up Hive Outdoor Living.  His vision was to also provide everything else that might be needed to create a paradise - outdoor kitchen, gazebos, water and fire features, landscaping, lighting and so on - so customers had the stress-free luxury of one point of contact and responsibility.

10 years and many hundreds of successful projects later, Robert not only has an impressive portfolio, but also has a seasoned team of veteran designers, supervisors and technicians backed up by proud service-oriented office staff.

Lots of people believe they can build pools.  The number that have been liquidated in the last couple of years is evidence that it is not as easy as it sounds.
