As an attorney, Jamison worked with business sales, transactional law, and business planning and succession. Jamison was the Director of the Governor’s Office of Strategic Initiatives for the State of South Dakota, where he was a business recruiter, international relations lead, science and technology policy officer, and entrepreneur advisor.

From 2011 until their merger with Sanford, he represented The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society on their nationwide home health and hospice acquisitions as their outside M&A advisor. In addition to his large corporate clients, Jamison has helped small companies grow, scale, and exit across multiple industries including health care, SaaS, telecom, restaurants, franchises, distilleries, cattle companies, hunting lodges, industrial services, manufacturing, retail, aviation services, funeral services, and more. He serves as an expert witness in valuation matters and has presented on the valuation of startup companies at the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts’ Super Conference.

Jamison is a Truman Scholar, a Dale Carnegie Highest Achievement Award Winner, M&A Award Winner, Multi-Million Dollar Sales Award winner, a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, and former Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus. He is an active RV’er, the first licensed distiller in South Dakota post prohibition, and was mayor of the town of Crooks, SD from 2015-2019. He has taught at the University of South Dakota, the University of Sioux Falls, Colorado Technical University, and Mount Marty University. He speaks Italian and German and, most important, is married with four children.
